Leipzig fix minimum asking price for Xavi Simons
The German club, who ended the season just out of the European places, have put a valuation on their star player.

RB Leipzig has reportedly slapped a €80 million ($106.2 million) price tag on Xavi Simons, following the team’s failure to qualify for European competition next season.
The valuation signals Leipzig’s intent to cash in on one of the most promising young talents in European football.

Xavi Simons seeking a fresh challenge
The 22-year-old Dutch playmaker appears eager to explore new opportunities, driven by his ambition to compete in the Champions League and play at the highest level—something Leipzig cannot offer him in the short term. Several Premier League clubs, among them Liverpool, and Bayern Munich are closely monitoring his situation, with Manchester United rumored to have already tabled a €135 million ($179.2 million) bid.
Still just 22 years old, the Netherlands international has decided it’s time to take the next step in his career. After two standout seasons in Germany, RB Leipzig’s failure to qualify for European competition has only strengthened his determination to leave the Red Bull-backed club.

Xavi Simons, the youth academy pearl that Barcelona let slip away
A product of Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy, Simons initially moved to Paris Saint-Germain, but struggled to cement a place in the first team. His journey then took him to PSV Eindhoven, where he briefly flourished before making the leap to the Bundesliga. Now, with his market value soaring, he is actively seeking an elite project that will allow him to continue his growth at the highest level.
Despite mounting speculation linking him to the Premier League’s top clubs and Bayern Munich, Leipzig are standing firm on where bidding will start - no club can negotiate below €80 million for their prized playmaker.
Simons finished the campaign with decent figures - 11 goals under his belt and another eight set up for his teammates in 33 appearances.
