The Norwegian secured his first major title, beating his British opponent 7–5, 3–6, 6–4 in Madrid. Here’s the prize money both finalists will take home.

Casper Ruud has finally tasted victory at the highest level. After six heartbreaking losses in Grand Slam and Masters 1000 finals, the Norwegian clinched the Mutua Madrid Open, defeating Jack Draper 7-5, 3-6, 6-4, in today’s final held in the Spanish capital in a contest that lasted just under 2 and half hours.
His first major title was destined to come on clay, and that is how it turned out. Of his 12 ATP titles, 11 have been won on red clay, and three of the six finals he has lost also took place on the same surface: Roland Garros 2022 and 2023 and Monte Carlo 2024.
Aryna Sabalenka defeated Coco Gauff 6–3, 7–6 (7-3) in the women’s singles final on Saturday, to lift her third Madrid Open title. So let’s take a look at the cash prizes and points won.
