A spider has landed in the UFC: undefeated, 18-0 4 TKO and Spiderman fan dreams of title fight
The Ecuadorian’s recent victory over Gilbert Burns makes him a serious contender in the welterweight division.

A spider has landed in the UFC. Michael Morales, an undefeated fighter and big Spider-Man fan, has caused quite a stir after his stunning KO victory over Gilbert Burns last Saturday. The Ecuadorian, ranked number 12 in the division, is starting to emerge as a serious prospect in a category where holding the belt is no easy task.
With an 18-0 record and four wins by KO, Morales has shown he has what it takes to dream about the belt, currently held by Jack Della Maddalena, who will defend it against Islam Makhachev. Despite that, the Ecuadorian, guided by his mother, seems clear about his future and already knows who he wants as his next opponent: Ian Machado Garry. “He’s been very disrespectful to fighters I admire, like Belal Muhammad and Neil Magny. They don’t deserve disrespect; I think he talks too much,” Morales told Canadian journalist Ariel Helwani.
As if that wasn’t enough, Michael also knows when he’d like to return to the cage: September 13 at UFC 320, an event set to take place in Guadalajara, Mexico, which is expected to coincide with another major event for boxing fans: Canelo Álvarez vs. Terence Crawford.
