Scottie Scheffler is in pole position to win the third major title of his career, after the American stormed to the top of the leaderboard ahead of Sunday’s final round at the 2025 PGA Championship.

Scheffler streaks clear after superb Saturday

In Saturday’s third round at Quail Hollow Club, Scheffler shot a six-under 65 to finish the day with a three-stroke lead.

The world No. 1 is currently on 11 under, ahead of Sweden’s Alex Noren, who is up to second after a round-three 67.

Scheffler’s countrymen Davis Riley and J.T. Poston are one stroke further back in North Carolina, while two-time major winner Jon Rahm rose to joint fifth on Saturday.

The Spaniard is level on six under with South Korea’s Si Woo Kim and Venezuela’s Jhonattan Vegas, who had been the leader at the start of the weekend.
