Update:

Aaron Rodgers was released by the New York Jets after two seasons that saw the 41-year-old struggle. The Pittsburgh Steelers have shown a strong interest in signing him and even have a tentative offer on the table, but Rodgers has been taking his time choosing between staying in the league or retiring.

Recently, however, he dropped a hint that could indicate where he’ll end up in the 2025 NFL season.

Has Aaron Rodgers finally made a decision?

Rodgers recently revealed that he’s been dealing with some personal issues, including several people he’s close with battling cancer. He’s pointed to those as the reason for his delay.

But during a Q&A hosted by rapper Mike Stud, Rodgers strongly hinted that he’s going to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Here’s how he responded when asked if he’d ever play for the Chicago Bears.

“No, but I believe there’s a team that might play in Chicago this year,” Rodgers said. “On a road trip. I don’t know. Not sure.”

The Steelers play at Soldier Field this season in Week 12, so that could definitely be what Rodgers was referring to. While teams like the New Orleans Saints are also on the Bears’ home schedule, Rodgers adamantly ruled them out, saying he didn’t want to live in Louisiana.

It’s not really surprising, as the Steelers are the only team that has been aggressively pursuing him. He met with the team earlier this offseason and threw the ball to newly acquired receiver DK Metcalf. Steelers owner Art Rooney II has said they are willing to wait “a little while longer” for Rodgers to make his decision. And now it seems he’s made up his mind for Pittsburgh to be his next destination.
