Why isn’t Jayson Tatum playing for the Celtics against the Magic in Game 2?
The Boston Celtics took a 1-0 lead over the Orlando Magic in their playoff opener but they will be without one of their top stars tonight for Game 2.

The Boston Celtics took care of business in their playoff opener against the Orlando Magic in Game 1, and tonight they will look to take a two game lead over the Magic. They are going to have to do so with one of their star players on the sideline.
Tatum’s playoff streak snapped
The two seed in the Eastern Conference breezed past the Magic in the first game of the first round series, but the win didn’t come without a price. Jayson Tatum took a hard spill in the 103-86 win and landed on his wrist after a collision with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

He finished the game with 17 points and 14 rebounds in 40 minutes but the collision took its affect. He was originally put on the injury list for the Celtic’s game against the Magic on Wednesday night, but he had now been ruled out for the final clash in Boston before the series heads south to Orlando.
Tatum is one of the league’s biggest stars, and was a vital part of the title run last year. He finished the regular season posting 26.8 points, 8.7 rebounds and 6 assists a game, but the C’s top score will be unavailable for tonight’s game as they monitor his progress for the upcoming games in Orlando. This will be the first playoff game Tatum has had to miss since entering the NBA, breaking a streak of 114 straight games.
