Road record: NBA Playoffs witness league first in Conference Semi-Finals
The Warriors’ Game 1 win over the Timberwolves means it has been a historic opening round of clashes in the Conference Semi-Finals.

The Warriors overcame the loss of Stephen Curry to a hamstring injury on Tuesday, beating the Timberwolves thanks to standout displays by Draymond Green, Buddy Hield and Jimmy Butler.
Steve Kerr’s men claimed a 99-88 road victory in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semi-Finals - and made NBA history in the process.
Road-win record set in Game 1 of the Conference SFs
After earlier wins for the Pacers at the Cavaliers, the Nuggets at the Thunder and the Knicks at the Celtics, this is the first time ever that all four visiting teams have won Game 1 of the Division/Conference Semi-Finals.
Before this season, there had been seven instances in NBA history where three out of four away teams won their first game at this stage of the Playoffs.
The most recent occasions was in 2023, when the 76ers defeated the Celtics, the Heat overcame the Knicks, and the Lakers triumphed over the Warriors.
The only home team to prevail was the Nuggets, who beat the Suns in Denver.
