Update:

Excitement is building as we edge towards the climax of a long 2024-25 NBA season with just four teams remaining in contention to scoop the biggest prize in basketball.

In the Eastern Conference, New York Knicks will face Indiana with the New Yorkers looking for their first championship ring since 1973.

In the West, No. 1 seed, Oklahoma City Thunder take on surprise package in the Minnesota Timberwolves who edged out Golden State on their way to the conference final.

Despite not dazzling as they did in regular season, OKC remain the firm favourites for many to advance to the finals with both Jalen Williams and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in imperious form.

In 11 playoff games so far this postseason, Williams has bagged an average of 19.6 points, second only to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s 29 points per game.

Edwards comments emerge

In the lead up to Game 1 of the series, some old comments from Edwards about Gilgeous-Alexander have resurfaced. During All-Star weekend in 2024, the Timberwolves player spoke to Stephen A. Smith and declared himself the better player between the two guards.

Edwards stated that he thought LeBron was correct when he cited himself as one of the main emerging NBA talents.

“I feel like I’m a better player than [Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Luka Dončić]...100%.”, he said.
