This weekend, the best baseball returns to CDMX as the Houston Astros and the Colorado Rockies face off Estadio Alfredo Harp Helú Stadium in Mexico City.

Both teams struggling to find form
The Astros go into the game bottom of the American League West with a 7-19 record while the Rockies are in a similar position in the National League West, bottom of the pile and also on 7-19.
A total of 13 MLB games have been held in Mexican territory during the past 28 years. Major League Baseball has held six regular season series in Mexico, five of the previous editions in Monterrey and last year history was made with the first series in Mexico City, with the San Diego Padres and the San Francisco Giants.

Taking the MLB around the world
There are plans to expand the venture beyond Mexico and the United States next year with a proposal to stage MLB games in Tokyo, Mexico City and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
For Saturday’s game, Dominican Ronel Blanco has been confirmed as the starting pitcher for Houston with Canadian right hander Cal Cantrill expected to start for the Rockies. On Sunday, the starters will be the Dominican Framber Valdéz for the Texans, while Colorado will send the North American Austin Gamber to the mound.
The first game between the Astros and the Rockies will be played on Saturday 27 April at Estadio Alfredo Harp Helú with first at bat at 6:05 p.m. ET / 3:05 p.m. PT. The second game will be played on Saturday 27 April at the same venue, starting at the earlier time of 4:05 p.m. ET / 1:05 p.m. PT.
