When GTA 6 comes out: release date, trailers, and everything we know about Rockstar Games’ most ambitious game
Rockstar Games is developing the most significant game in the video game industry this generation.

The entire video game industry fears one name: GTA 6. Rockstar Games’ game is arguably the most highly anticipated title among fans, and no one wants to miss out on it. The surprise release of its second trailer left us all speechless. We’re already beyond 2024; we know a lot about the game, and you can find out all about it here.
GTA 6 release date: the trailers that confirm the ambition of Rockstar Games
We’ll have to wait a bit, but it’ll be worth it. GTA 6 is set to launch on May 26, 2026, for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. However, the game will not be released on PC at launch, in keeping with the team’s tradition. It will be released eventually, but it will take a few months, and it may be delayed by a year.
The second trailer is spectacular and showcases Jason and Lucia’s confidence in a city where enemies smile in your face. Vice City is no longer just a place of vice and neon lights; it’s a showcase of the new forms of crime with which the two are quite familiar.
But we mustn’t forget our origins, either. The first trailer in December 2023 set our dreams in motion. A decade had passed since the release of GTA 5, and everything suggested that the technical lessons learned from Red Dead Redemption 2 had been applied. The hype and fan theories were overblown.
Vice City in GTA 6: a paradise of neons and the parade
Not much was known about the relationship between Jason and Lucia, but Rockstar Games provided more details in the description of the second trailer.
“Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.”
