Assassin’s Creed Shadows confirms the game’s full length
The creative director talked about the length of the main story and secondary content

In 16th-century Japan, war was a natural state of affairs. The great lords deployed their troops and tried to control the territory with an iron fist. It is the era of Nobunaga Oda, a crucial moment in the history of the Asian country, and the era in which Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the new installment of Ubisoft’s saga, takes place. The title, which follows the RPG line of Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla, offers an open world full of activities, but how long will it last exactly? As always, it depends on the player’s pace, but the developers have provided an estimated time.
Genki interviewed the game’s creative director Jonathan Dumont, who revealed that the main campaign will last around 30 to 40 hours. On the other hand, those who want to see everything will have to invest more than 80 hours in the world of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Although there is no concrete announcement at the moment, Ubisoft Quebec does not rule out launching the New Game+ mode in the future, a feature that previous titles have implemented after the game’s launch.
The new Animus story and future Assassin’s Creed games
In this new interview, the creative director stressed that the new Animus story will start a new arc related to future Assassin’s Creed projects. As if that were not enough, Dumont has revealed that it will be possible to recruit characters from some side quests.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows will hit the market on March 20 for PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. The game uses a new version of the Anvil engine, so it will not be released on previous-generation consoles. These are our first impressions.
