The world’s top 10 airlines of 2025: did any American carrier make the cut?
The latest Skytrax rankings are out, and the top 10 list has a clear theme, as we search for those flying the Stars and Stripes.

If you were hoping to see Delta, United, or American Airlines up there with the best in the world, you’ll need to keep hoping. The 2025 Skytrax World Airline Awards – based on millions of passenger votes – have crowned Qatar Airways as the world’s best airline once again. Not a single U.S. carrier cracked the top 10... or even the top 15.
Which was highest ranked American airline?
Air Canada landed at No. 19, making it the highest-ranked North American airline. The U.S. entries show up further down and mostly in niche categories: JetBlue and Alaska Airlines squeezed into the top 10 regional airlines, while no Stars and Stripes variety of airlines ranked in best cabin crew, low-cost, or cleanest airline lists.
