A woman pays 270 dollars a week to live on a continuous cruise with one condition: “The house always wins”

Cruise travel can be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for many, offering the chance to stay in a high-end cabin with breathtaking ocean views.

Driven by her love for travel and the opportunity to embark on a completely new chapter, a woman left her corporate job to live full-time on a cruise ship. Her journey began this past January, when she boarded a Princess Cruise Line ship.

Through her YouTube channel, she revealed that she has a route mapped out that will last two years, through 2027. Her cabin is fully equipped with amenities including Wi-Fi, food, and beverages. One of the biggest reasons she chose this lifestyle was the cost.

“I have been able to figure out how to travel on cruise ships as your home base being less expensive than it is to live on land,” she said. She estimated the cost at around $270 per week — approximately $1,080 per month. “I don’t know of any other way of travelling the world where everything is included.”

Over 36 million people took a cruise in 2024

A report from the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) detailed that more than 36 million people took a cruise last year — a figure that surpasses previous years.

The Caribbean and the Mediterranean remain two of the most popular cruise destinations, attracting the highest number of passengers. Cruising the high seas to exotic destinations is one of the most appealing aspects of this type of travel.
